I recently stumbled across a shirt that I'd made back in college but hadn't worn for awhile. I still love the fabric and colors, as well as the pointy sleeves. (I'm a sucker for sleeves that look like they belong in a medieval fantasy movie.) But I hadn't worn it in awhile because the sleeves ended up being too short, due to my long arms. I had a bit of unexpected free time this evening, so I did some surgery on it.
So it went from this long-sleeved, high-necked top....
....to this 3/4-and-still-pointy-sleeved, scoop-necked top.
A better shot of the fabric and sleeves. More details on how I did it can be found on my blog.

Great re-make, it is updated without loosing its interesting charm!
Love these sleeves! You could totally wear this with a corset and maxi skirt and pass as costumed at some renaissance fairs I know... but at the same time it's completely appropriate for day-to-day (or at least fancy) dressing occasions.
Lol, I'd probably end up wearing it with a maxi skirt outside of the Faire! Maybe sans corset, though. (Personally, I think it's also something that could be made more casual with jeans too. I'm sure I'll end up testing that theory.)
Very pretty! Thanks for sharing it with us.
