I recently thrifted this ombre dyed sarong from a charity shop and used a commercial pattern to turn it into this....
Essentially a sarong (minus the tassles!) is a flat piece of fabric. So great to keep an eye out for these in your local charity shops/thrift stores. While I had to make a few adaptions to the pattern to squeeze it out of the fabric (more info and pics here), that was really only because this pattern in particular has so much volume. There was plenty of fabric there for a less voluminous make!

This looks so amazing! Job so well done! Now I have yet another resource to scour for at the thrift stores! I had never thought of sarongs!
