Neon Orange Scarf & Tablecloth Scout Tee Lounging Outfit

This is my daytime pj outfit, to wear when I'm hanging around the house all day doing nothing but sewing. The top is a modified Scout Woven Tee. I made the Tee front and sleeves from a silky Bill Blass scarf I picked up in a thrift store for under $5.00. The scarf  (a 33″ square) wasn’t large enough for the whole top. So I rummaged through my stash and I got lucky when I found a thin cotton tablecloth in the exact orange of the flower print. I purchased the tablecloth years ago at a thrift store for $1.50, making the total cost for my project $12.95, including the cost of the Scout Woven Tee pattern download. Those colors are getting me excited for summer! Great way to redo the floral scarf!

Thanks Elizabeth! They are definitely summer colors and they did make me feel warmer when I sewed it up on a cold wintery day.

brilliant! What serendipity to find the tablecloth, too. So they sure don't look like daytime pjs! pretty snazzy.

Thanks Sandy, I'm glad you think these could pass for day wear rather than PJs. It gives me hope that maybe my neighbors weren't thinking "why is Kitty outside in her pajamas having photos taken?"

I love the little elastic accent on the back of the shirt. Really cute. Great job.
