Save the Leggings

These kids of mine are growing so fast!  I can't keep up with them.
Especially their clothes.  I hate buying new clothes because they look the same as their old clothes in a matter of a few weeks.  I thought I'd try to save a few pairs of my daughters leggings by combining them together.

I took this grey pair.

Plus this black pair.

I cut them up and pieced them together to add more length and get rid of all the stains and holes.

Here's my funky fresh little girl in her "new" leggings.

The pockets I placed a little too low.  Some holes started to happen from her sticking her hands in them, so I covered them with some cute felt hearts.

I decided to cut up two more pairs of her old leggings and made these.

Kinda funky, but kind of fun!
She likes them and I saved 4 pairs of leggings from the garbage … for now anyway.
For more details on how I created these please visit my blog.

Thanks!

You did it again: I love this idea for making kids' clothes last longer! I'll be filing it away for future use (and perhaps using it for myself) ;)

I love the new leggings! They're so stinkin' cute. I love the color block -- great job!

Love the leggings. My 7 yr old cut holes in a couple pairs of her leggings, I tried to patch them and it didn't work out very well.
