From darts to rouche.

With dart adjustment.
This summer I need hard-working clothes for the Ranch House
and Flower Shop. I made minor dart adjustments on this older shirt.
Even after redo the darts were pointy and did not work well.

After rouche.
After rouche.
Today I removed the darts and used soft elastic to create rouche in their place.

Elastic to create rouche.
I opened the seams, stretched and stitched the elastic.
After rouche.
I did not have white, but the tan worked fine.
After restitching the seams, I serged the
entire seam including elastic in place. This was a good sewing lesson
and the shirt should work fine for the Ranch House.
This is another shirt back in the rotation for the summer.

What a good idea - the blouse looks great. I have a couple of tops that would benefit from this tip. Thanks for sharing it.
