Easy Skirt Refashion

Happy Autumn Season All!  It's not feeling so fallish here in Hawaii, where we've had heat in the 90's, but I'm living vicariously through all of you who are getting to enjoy it.

Anyway....  I have a super easy pencil skirt refashion to share with you.

I found this maxi at a thrift shop for around $2.  As you can see, it's not very flattering - or could it just be my expression?

A few cuts and stitches later, I have this stylish pencil skirt - which feeds my current polka dot obsession.

You can check out this easy tutorial at my blog, Feeling Kinda Thrifty.

I loved your blog post because it sounds so much like what I do! Trying to make a special feature, trimming off extra bits when things don't match up, and winging it when it doesn't quite go as you'd planned! Love the refashioning process :) I love this skirt and have a soft spot for pencil skirts...polka dots are growing on me as well ;) Great job!

I'm a fan of polka dots, too - I like the gathers on the skirt and your other dresses you showed on your post!
