First Timer!!!!

Hi everyone! I have been visiting this blog a lot just to see what other people are doing now I shall contribute as well. Here we go:

The skirt was to tight but I liked the color and style and bought it anyway. There is not much to explain, I only extended the waist band inside and out and voila!

  1. Great to see a new contributor. Have you got any photos of you wearing the skirt? How exactly did you extend the waistband?

  3. I'm wondering how exactly you extended the waistline - was it just taking out the darts at the waist or was there more to it? I love the bright check - a great spring/summer skirt!

  6. Hi Girls! Fantastic to have so many comments and visitors! I did not take pics during the process, my apologies. I usually am so involved doing it that I simply forget. Here some explanations: I removed the waistband, let out the darts, then cut out some of the pink lining of the belt to use as extension on the outside, as per last picture. i then cut some white material for the inside to replace the missing bit. Hope that helps to explain the process a bit. Until next time......
