Gingham Sundress

Taking inspiration from this week's Refashion Runway gingham theme and also anticipating tomorrow's long-awaited return of The Refashioners series on Makery, I decided to turn this 3XL pink gingham Ralph Lauren men's dress shirt into a cute little sundress for myself.

Gingham Sundress - Before

Since this shirt was super thin cotton, I also pulled out an old white cotton bed sheet to line my new dress.

The over-sized sleeves became the bodice, and the body of the shirt was turned around to make the skirt portion.

There was quite a lot of puttering about in between though, so go check out CarissaKnits for the full details.
