Ombre Tiered Maxi Skirt

For this week's Refashion Runway maxi skirt/dress sew-along, and also to tie in the Refashioners theme of making over men's dress shirts, I used four shirts in varying shades of blue and one white shirt to create an ombre tiered maxi skirt.

The addition of a navy blue tee completed the ombre look. Sadly, I don't have a dark blue belt or white shoes, but oh well!

What a lot of shirts, and a lot of sewing. It looks like the bottom of a ballgown.

Nice idea but the skirt swamps your frame. I was looking for the rest of the prairie...
