#1 Modified Amerson Undies from Lace Top

RanchHouse October Sewing Goal: *Refashion to make 10 Amersons or Tap Pants.
This is #1.

 Amerson Undies or Tap Pants:
*Made from Pre-retirement stash that does not fit the Retirement lifestyle.
*Worn for lounge/sleep clothes.
*Amersons also worn under loose fitting clothes.
*Tap Pants can be worn under dresses as a slip.

After:
 Modified Amerson Undies
Lace waistband / wider elastic added.
Legs have no elastic like Tap Pants.

Before:  Lace top from end of summer closet clean out.

After: Modified Amerson Undies, with Tap Pant legs.

Steps:
*Due to limited fabric in the shirt the Undies required some piecing.
*Lace/ Elastic: Modification included lace waistband and wider elastic. Legs have no elastic and left open like Tap Pants.

What I Learned:  After making several Amersons I was ready to modify this pair.

Before: Lace top from end of summer.
Free Pattern. Amerson Undies by Madylnne; designed to be made in wovens. They are full and and can be worn under loose clothing

Such a busy woman! Don't get too carried away because you'll need more closet space!
