Dress for a warm winter

Although the termometer says december, no winter weather is in sight. Crazy warm temperatures of 7-12 C / 45-54 F om Christmas Eve (in Denmark in Scandinavia). But I guess we have to get used to that being the future.
Anyway, if the winter stays away, I will make myself a summery dress.

A knitted top and a shirred dress.

I cut the black ribbing of the top off, and shortenedd the striped part.
I cut the shirring off the dress.
Then I sewed the top and the bottom together with the black ribbing from the top as the middle part.
Done.

I decided to make it my New Year's dress.
A pettiskirt to go under the skirt.

And a little something to cover my arms.

Glædelig jul og godt nytår!

Yep, the way it turned out and looks on you, I'd call this a really 'cute and sweet cookie' - well done.

Hope you had a nice xmas and will have a lovely and save skid into the New Year with the hope to count you in for more refashions then. Thanks for those you introduced 2015.

Special greetings to you,
Gerlinde

Great idea to add the petticoat for fullness! I love the striped and solid mix. Great job.
