Two Snips and a Seam

I thrifted this striped jersey not-quite-maxi dress recently for just a few buck. The top fit fine, but it was a bit too snug around the belly and hips, hugging every curve and just a little too tightly. Not good. Plus the length was just weird.

I snipped out the midsection and serged the top and skirt back together with a little elastic at the waist.

Such an easy conversion and such a comfortable dress! I'm going to be wearing this all summer long, I can tell!

We were thinking alike. I just did the same thing this weekend. Haha! Mental symmetry.
