First post!

Hello everyone! My name is Ivy and this is my first post on the Co-op. I'm super excited that I got invited to contribute with the rest of these wonderful refashionistas!

A little background info on me: I'm 20, married and currently living in Hawaii (my husband is stationed here). We rescued a dog in January and he will be making surprise appearances in my photos! We also have a Leopard tortoise who is almost a year old now:) My mom taught me how to sew when I was 8 and I have loved it ever since. However it wasn't until I discovered refashionista.net that I started to do refashions. Since then I've found multiple other blogs and started my very own! I hope you enjoy my creations as much as I enjoyed making them!

The first post I will share with you is probably the one I'm most proud of. I found this nice, light, yellow patterned fabric at Savers for 5$ there is approximately 8 yards and for Hawaii that is a great price! (I also got it for cheaper because it was military Monday!)
The fabric is more yellow in real life in the other pictures it's more noticeable. I didn't have a pattern just a pair of shorts that fit me well:) I folded the shorts and used them as a pattern. I added a ribbon to act as a drawstring. I added back pockets and attached black ribbon to break up the pattern a little bit:)

One thing I was less than stoked about was how they bunched up when I walked. If anyone has any tips on how to prevent it next time that would be nice! If you want to see more of the step by step process head on over to my blog!
