Adult button-up shirt into child's shirt

Hello!

Sooooo... I'd been hanging onto bits of this old shirt of mine for years because it had a cute pattern and I liked the shape of the collar, and also the fabric is of a nice quality. (Also I have a wee bit of a hoarding problem.) But anyway, I'd long since chopped pieces out of it (mostly sleeves and a bit of middle) to make baby bibs for my kids. For this refashion, I frankensteined the leftovers together with a fat quarter that just happened to match the colour perfectly, and pow!

I kept the collar and the bottom of the original shirt, mostly because I hate hemming and collar-ing. My sincere apologies for the lack of before pictures, I honestly wasn't expecting this one to turn out and wasn't planning on it being a blog post! Next time I will resist the urge to serge before snapping a pic ;)

Thanks for reading,
Amy

I always save my scraps too, and I love it when I finally find a good use for some of them! Kudos!

Thank you very much! It's almost too small for my daughter already (should have measured..) and I'll have to think about if it could be reworked one last time ;)
