Refashion Runway Sewalong: Velvet (Better Late Than Never)

Hello everyone,

I was sewing along the Refashion Runway Challenge while I was not back on Refashion Coop yet so I did not post my earlier creations.

I started with a very large dress that a friend gave me that had a lace overlay, and a stretchy velvet A-line knee-length boring dress.

Beautiful lace overlay of the 1st dress

So I thought I would make some bell sleeves as the shape of lace pattern was very appropriate for that type.  I also tapered the sides of the dress and increased the neckline opening.

So here is the result:

Beautiful lace sleeves !

So that was my contribution for Velvet week.  I really like to challenge myself while creating clothes.  You can see more creations on my blog: sewliltime.

Peace !

Claudia

Your expression in the boring dress picture is too funny. That new dress is sharp. The sleeves are perfect.
