The Tough Guy Leather Jacket

Hello Refashion Co-op. I did a quick fix on a great faux leather jacket recently. I messed it up pretty badly and then figured out a way to cover up my mess. This jacket fit well except for the sleeves. They were much too long.

They had zippers and snaps at the end and there was too much material to just roll them up. I had to actually shorten them.

It was very soft faux leather and I thought it would be easy to cut and sew through. It was easy to cut but the super soft faux leather kept getting stuck on my presser foot. Ugh, it was so annoying. The sleeves were so puckered and looked really bad.
The only solution I could come up with was to cover the edge of the sleeves with some beige trim. I think it looks much better than the wrinkled sleeves did.

When I was done I went to a bakery and I ate a ton of treats. It was awesome!

You found a really good solution and the trim is a good addition.
