B&W New Years Eve Dress

Happy 2018 readers! This makes me super excited to start year 3 of TheRefashStash!
I am really into this velvet theme right now! I think it is such a beautiful fabric for winter formal wear. I had this dress in my stash for awhile now, but it's not like I could wear it when our weather was still so hot. Now, that the holidays have come around I was in need of a beautiful dress.

First order of business was to get rid of those sleeves. I think the sleeves really dated the dress.

After removing the sleeves I stitched up the arm holes.

I took in the bodice in by 1 inch, I used a straight stitch.

I folded in the back of the dress to make the bodice more snug on thee back, I did this because the keyhole back was a little too loose, even after taking in the sides of the bodice.

My favorite part of this dress, the back.

That dress is beautiful. I don't know exactly why but the sleeves did make it look dated. The sleeveless dress looks great though.
