Just a skirt

Hello Refashion Co-op. My daughter gave me this dress because it was too small for her. She is taller and bigger than me so I thought it would fit me. I was SO wrong. It was very tight and uncomfortable.

I did a quick cut and removed the top. I left some fabric at the waist to make a waistband. 

My sewing machine was in the shop for repairs so I stitched the waistband by hand. It was quick work. It was much more roomy with the top of the dress removed.
