Sweater One; Polka Dots

Hello Refashion Co-op. I am getting some sweaters in shape to wear because it is cold and damp. I need to be warm and cozy.

This polka dot sweater was cute and it fit but it had some residue from a sticky name tag on it. It would not wash out so I decided to cover it.

I gave it some thought. In the end I used this BIG rick rack. It covered the mark perfectly but it looked ridiculous with the ruffle. The ruffle was going to have to go.

I got rid of the ruffle and this sweater was ready to wear. I liked the rick rack. It was fun.

Thanks for reading along for more pictures and details go to I Can Work With That.

The rick rack looks perfect, the bigger size really adds some drama. I like using rick rack because it bends round corners and curves so easily.

Thanks. It was the easiest to fit all around the sweater.

I think the sweater is much improved and looks more youthful than with the ruffle. Plus it gives it a vintage feel, which increases additional interest.
