Repurpose girl peplum top & cardigan

Hello all!

Do you like tee shirt? It's a favorite item of mine to do a refashion project. Since I can not easily found the source of good knit to sew for my little girl. The good tee is a best canvas for me.
In this top, I've start with a simple white tee in size XL. Using a Pippa peplum top pattern and personalize it with tulle skirt part, gold trim and sequin bow. Here is what I got for my girl.

Tulle skirt part gives it a good spin

Fit for play time
Another top is made from my good old cardigan. Using V-neck cardigan pattern, I added lace trim and collar for girly sense.

Refashion-Mom's tee to Girl Raglan dress

If you have any Asian friend you may heard about the Chinese zodiac which relates each year to an animal according to a 12-year cycle. This traditional spread through several East Asian and South East Asian countries including Thailand. The next year, 2014's sign  is the horse. So in this last month of the year, you may find many gift and apparel presents the sign of this animal.

Including this horse t-shirt. The horse illustrate on the tee was designed by H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand. This is a famous new year present. I already have my own in another color, so I designed to refashion this tee for my daughter.
It said" The horse bring joyful in the year of horse"
I use the pattern of the recess raglan tee from See Kate Sew and lengthen the body to create a dress. The sleeves was self-drafted.  Then I got this dress for the girl.

The sleeves were made by using my old knit strip dress ,the collar and the cuffs were made with my age yellow cardigan.

The girl love her horse dress and happy to wear it. I'm glad too! :)

My past refashion project (part 1)

Hi everyone, I've been following refashion co-op for a while. All of contributors's projects were inspired and I hope my works would give an inspiration or at least hope you will enjoy to see my refashion projects. :)

I've started sewing and refashioning clothes after my daughter almost turned to 3 years old. Mostly of my works are up-cycled projects for my little girl and some for myself.

These are my works before I start my blog at http://anapprenticehousewife.blogspot.com/ . Before my blogging era, I usually share my works on Facebook. You can visit me at my blog which share both my refashion projects and my sewing work.

My 3rd projects is for both of us. I can't find my first project and don't remember what was it..
My 2nd project was very easy to made, just cropped bottom part of bodysuit and sew in the lace.

My first constructive project.
