1/2 Hour - Favorite Shirt Save
Hi All,
This was one of my favorite shirts but it got pretty stained on the armpits. My solution cut off the sleeves and re-hem. :-)

Hello,
I hope all of your refashioning projects are going well. I was pretty happy with this little project transforming some old jeans into a new skirt. Now I am hoping for some spring type weather to go with it. :-)

Men's T-shirts to Kaftan Dress Tutorial (and my "big" decision)
Hello fellow refashioner,
I recently finished this kaftan dress made from some old knit shirts. I also made a sort of scary decision. If you are interested in the tutorial or the semi-crazy thing I am going to do in one month you can find more info here.

Hi All,
Last weekend my sister and I were at the Recycle Santa Fe Art Festival. My sister had a booth there and I got to tag along. It was a really fun experience. On the first night of the event they have a Trash Fashion Show. This is my dress. I had at lot of fun making it and meeting the other contestants but to be honest the runway walk was scary!!!!!

Easy Last Minute Upcycled Olive Oyl Halloween Costume DIY
Hello my fellow re-fashioners.
Halloween is just around the corner and that means silly costume parties for some of us. My activities have been a little limited lately due to a broken foot. This Olive Oly costume was quick and easy to throw together.
Now I am just waiting to see which boot I will be wearing. Olive Oly's or this one.
At least I am done with the hard cast. :-)

Keeping it Simple - Upcycled T-shirts - Heat Transfers
Hello Fellow Refashionista,
I have a super easy re-fashion today using some simple artwork and a few sheets of Avery screen print transfer paper. I made three different designs but this one was mt favorite. I didn't like the stuff feeling of the transfer very much so I crumpled it up a bunch of times. Now I like the look and the feel of it better.

Upcycled Jacket - Embroidery Cover Up
Hello All,
We are having some lovely weather here in Colorado still hitting the 80's regularly. Today's high is projected to be 88. So I guess I won't be needing this jacket yet. But fall is officially here and the football season is underway, so it wont be long before I put this jacket to good use. You can find more details on the project here.

Easy Oil Stain Fix - Upcycled Shorts
Hi all,
There is not much to this project but I was really happy to save my shorts. I splattered them with oil From past experience I have not been very successful in removing oil stains. So my fix. Add more oil. :-)
Lots of it actually. I just painted it on with an paint brush and then washed it back out. The shorts are a little darker now which I actually like better.

Upcycled Top - Orange Scarf and Tank Refashion
I read somewhere that orange was the new black. It was probably a few seasons ago since I am never quite up with current fashion trends. :-) Still I have always loved orange. When I bought the knit top I didn't realize that it had a small hole toward the bottom so I never wore it. Then I stumbled onto this scarf and an idea was born. Details here.

Upcycled Duct Tape Headcam
Hello All,
I certainly can't call this fashionable. But I did re-fashion a base ball cap in to a head cam holder. It is quite silly looking but it works. You can see the details here.
Happy Refashioning.

T-shirt scrap dog portaits
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
I hope I am not breaking the rules here. As you can see these are not wearable items but they were made from t-shirts so I am hoping that they qualify. I haven't been crafting much lately but won't bore you with the details here. These two portraits are projects that I actually made several months ago. You can read more about them here and here.
