A 1940's original refashion-project!

After last months success with the 9 shirts off his back project (thank you so much for all the lovely comments!), I felt that I needed to bring you something special again... So how about a re-fashioning project from 1943?

I thought you re-fashionistas would appreciate this... It's from an old German pattern magazine from a time when re-fashioning wasn't just a fun and creative thing to do, but a pure necessity...

For this project they suggested using a long-sleeved blouse on which the collar, buttons, cuffs and underarms are torn - you can just cut it all away and make a short sleeve blouse out of it...  They provided the pattern and everything. I used a pure silk blouse and a white short sleeved top for the inset:

For some more pictures, please head over to my blog! Happy re-fashioning weekend to all of you!
Best,
Katja
