Floppy hat is no longer floppy

I have had this floppy hat for a few years. Over the years, the hat got more and more floppy until I wasn't able to see anymore:
So I sifted through my sewing/beading supplies and found a roll of gauge beading wire, and some double fold bias tape and got to work:
And now I can see while wearing the hat!! Yay!!

  3. That's awesome! I could actually do that as I crochet a cotton sunhat, crochet over the wire on the last round.
Though I've got to say....your teeth are awesome but you might want some concealer on your nose :)
