Strange poncho into cardigan

A....poncho? Cape? Wannabe blouse? Anyway, it had potential...

...to become a cardigan. I cut triangles out at each side and cut the hood of, but left the ribbed edge.

The edge of the hood became the edge of the new neckline. I am quite pleased with that detail.

And now I have a pretty little cardi that goes with anything. Just what I needed.

I am really pleased with how well it turned out. I did have my doubts about if I could get anything wearable out of the original....thingy.
