Against The Clock Refashioning!

That expression, 'less haste more speed' feels like a bit of a curse with sewing... Don't get me wrong, I love every moment of the creative process, and hours fly by - but when you're in a rush, isn't it always the case that it doesn't come together as easily as it should?!

I had NO time for that malarkey with this project; there was a wedding to go to, and nothing to wear - until I found THIS in a local charity shop!

Granted, it's just a plain shift dress, a little on the large side, but the colour drew me in... So, with a few tweaks, I was wedding ready! :)

This is me with my Mum and Nan... she's 94! (I tell everyone, at every opportunity, because I know she would too given half a chance!) Head over to my blog, and read all about the process with this dress - and let me know how you might've done things differently - I love hearing your creative ideas :)

I suppose this will mean the start of Autumn refashionings now..? Pah! I'm clinging on to summer for as long as possible ;)

    1. I've never thought I could wear yellow before, it can be a bit of a draining colour... I think the trick is to have a bit of a tan ;) (for me anyway!!) And thank you :)
