Sandals refashion

Wonderfully comfortable sandals...in a style, I most often see on grannies.
Also the back strap chafed my skin.

So I removed the back strap a replaced it with a piece of elastic lace.

No more chafing and slightly less granny-esque sandals

  1. I think the elastic lace is pretty and works perfectly for this refashion! I don't think I've ever seen elastic lace before. Great job. The sandals looks comfy.

  2. Interesting fix. How did you get the backstrap off without ruining the leather?

  4. Joyful. First, it isn't real leather. And I just cut the straps with a scalpel (I'm not sure it it called that in English. A toolreally sharp blade) and stitched the edge by hand with a leather needle and waxed linen thread. And lastly tinted the edge with black shoe polish.
