I had this plain lace tee in my refashion stash, but I didn't know what to do with it. This happens to me all the time with lace shirts. I just never know what to do with them. After looking through my fabrics, I saw that a navy blue gingham that matched the navy lace.
I sewed them both together, but I still wasn't satisfied. I looked through my trims and found a white lace that I decided to add all around above the chest area. Lastly, I added a patch pocket that the lace tee had. I just cut it from the tee and sewed it on the new tunic.
Instead of hemming the new tunic, I used the selvage as the hem. I really liked the raw look for this particular tunic!
I named it "Sunflower Fields" because I saw myself running around a sunflower field in this tunic. I love the contrast against the dark navy blue. :)
