high-waisted shorts out of hideous pants!

We recently undertook a number of refashioning projects for our latest back-to-school/fall fashion blog post.

This amazing refashion turned an ugly and outdated pair of pants into glamourous high-waisted shorts.

BEFORE:

AFTER:

Here's how we did it in WORDS:
-Take one hideous pair of grandma pants.
-Trim off most of pant, a few inches above your knee.
-Roll remaining pant length into cuff of desired thickness and length.
-Stitch two vertical seams on sides of thigh area.
-Remove belt, save buckles for back pocket embellishment.
-Use excess pant fabric to make back pockets, attach to rear of pant.
-Add own colorful belt.
-Voila!

Here's how we did it ILLUSTRATED:

Yay! AWESOME shorts!!

  3. These are great! Especially love the pocket embellishments. Mind you, I'd have worn those trousers as they were beforehand, I love a good pair of granny pants!
