re-fashion shirt

This is my latest re-fashion project
A large charity shop shirt with very flared and much to long for me sleeves.

The finished front after removal of sleeves and side seaming
and the back.
And with one of the sleeves I made
Or I have also used it as a hair bow

I am sew vala thank you for letting me re-fashion with you.

  1. Very nice! Like that you used the sleeves for accessories too - no waste refashions are great, less scrap material with no purpose! Love your little scarf.

  2. Cute! It looks like you just shirred the waist line. Am I right?

  3. At the waist there is a small casing in which ribbon is threaded through and ties at the back. When I seamed the shirt to make it smaller, I started above this, which left more of the fabric at the bottom and so gives it a really nice gathering. Thank you for your lovely comments.
