How To Sew A Baby Hem On Delicate Fabrics

I needed this technique for my latest dress refashion:

Thrifted dress ($2) - I removed the extremely pouffy sleeves, cut off about 6 inches of length, and then used the baby hem technique to sew both the arm holes and the new hem.

  1. Aha! This strikes me as a very useful technique. I'm sure I'll have use for it sometime - those fine fabrics are so slippery! Thanks for this - I have stashed it safely in my mental 'bag of tricks.'
