I'm new so I'll start super simple

This is new to me, I've never even blogged before! But I am been an avid "refashioner" since I was about 12, when I made 'new' bracelets from old beads and string from candy necklaces. And didn't even know that was what I was doing! My passion is jewelry, but I have recently acquired my grandmother's 1956 Singer sewing machine (I KNOW RIGHT!?) so I am slowly teaching myself how to sew. Maybe someday I'll show you the franken-dress I tried to make with it.. We've all got a franken-dress, right???A little intro about me: My husband and I are coming up on our 6th anniversary in May (WOO!) and we have 2 annoyingly amazing and adorable sons, aged 2 and 4.So, here is the project I did for my first post:
I apologize, my 'before' pic is nowhere to be found.. WHAT. THE HECK. But anyways, this was an ancient earring, all I did was snip off the earring parts with my wire cutters and filed the edges down so I could pop it onto my thumb easily. I'm pleased that this poor little lone earring has a new life, I absolutely LOVE turquiose (even if its just turquoise colored xD ) More to come! I'm having fun taking photos of my process, its so neat to have somewhere to share and see other ideas and projects!Peace,Bat Ma'ammommymakesthingspretty.blogspot.com:)
