Pink Pixie Bags

These were made using the lovely, sparkly pink knit fabric from a half-finished jumper i inherited from a friend. I don't have the knitting skills, and didn't have enough yarn left, to finish the jumper but the fabric she'd made was so lovely i had to use it for something!

I lined them in turquoise fabric from a shirt (given to me by another friend to use as it didn't fit him), and used up some scraps of yarn from the making of the jumper, sewn on to some doubled-over trimming from my stash, to make the straps. I sewed a channel into one, and threaded braided yarn through between the outer and lining to make it a drawstring bag. For the other i made a simple fastening with a button (again from my stash) and more braided yarn for the loop.
