Grandmother's tablecloth top

Ok not my grandmother's tablecloth but it looks like one she used to have but this one is bright sunflower yellow. I loved it but when i came home I realized that it did not fit my table. I decided to use it as fabric instead and refashion myself a new top!

I tried to wing it but then got no where so I cheated and used a simplicity pattern. I used some leftover scrap fabric from a curtain for the lining. Here is my new top

Actually it was difficult to sew with. I really wanted to make a new pair of shorts but I didn't have enough fabric left. For more on this refashion click here!
