The Thread Astaire Necklace is a tribute to the style, class and debonair air of the amazing Fred Astaire. I found this beautiful vintage wooden spool and knew that I needed to create something unique and interesting. I wanted to retain the history of this stunning J & P Coats cotton thread. I wanted to preserve and showcase it. I really feel strongly that we are the custodians of what has passed before us. I try to respect and honour the past.....so I hope that in some small way I have achieved that with my "Thread Astaire" Necklace.
So I started with this beautiful vintage wooden cotton spool.
Added a chain and a few beads
And turned it into the Thread Astaire Necklace.
