A Quick Fix For Boots

Hello fellow refashionistas !

I have been very busy with work and life so I have not posted in a while...  

I have a bad back and can't bend very well to tie my boots.  So I thought I would make it easy on myself by changing the laces to elastic.  It is very nice because it is quick and it prevents me from bending too much.



As you can see, the elastics are sticking out a bit to allow some give.  You need VERY stretchy elastic.  Since the lace holes are very small, the elastic rubs inside, so it stays in place.  I also knotted the ends, just in case...  So far, I love it!  A quick fix to a very annoying problem !

Now if I could only have a quick fix for all the snow we have to shovel...

    I love elastic laces and I'm embarrassed to say that I've paid $7/pair for them. They're so perfect for workout shoes. Thanks to your tute no more $7 laces for me!
