Grandma's silk top no more....

Hello lovely refashioners!

I am happy to have finished a refashion this year. This one took a while!

First enter this lovely periwinkle top that I thought I could turn into a cute short dress. But really its way to short to be a top. I didn't like the buttons on the top and there was something really, really wrong with the sleeves. It was some weird combination.

So what did I do?? I added a navy blue strip to the bottom to give it length. I got rid of the buttons and made the top a V-neck. Then I took it in some. And the part was the biggest challenge was I remade new arm holes, gathered the sleeves, added them back to the dress and added elastic to gather the sleeves a little more. Then to tie it all in, I made a tie with the same navy blue fabric to bring in the waist. Here is my end dress!
To find out all what I did and see pictures, etc. Stop on by here. And Enjoy! :)

xoxoxo,
LaLaLauren
