Simple Maxi Dress Refashion

Still catching up with the blogs here. Found another refashion I never posted here. I had this tie-dye maxi dress my mom gave me but it shrank after I wore it. I don't mind maxi dresses but sometimes these strapless dresses just don't work on my figure. This one is now too short.

Really it was a simple fix. I cut the bandeau top off. Then I created a casing and added elastic to fit. I didn't have to do any hemming on the bottom and that made me super happy. I did have to even out the top because it was actually higher in the front than in the back. Here is my new maxi skirt.

It sits at a much better spot on my waist. Much more functional and no more seeing my ankles. Actually, I ready to pair this up with some purple sweaters I have in my winter wardrobe. At least I will get use out of it. :)
