Gathered Waist Dress to Empire Waist Maternity Tunic Refashion

I'm pregnant with my second kiddo so I've been revisiting all the ideas I had for refashioning maternity clothes! This one is super simple; just shifting the waist up and adding two strips of elastic to gather:
