It wasn't until I noticed the buttons on the right side of the placket that I realized this was a man's shirt (women's shirts have buttons on the left placket). Oh well... there's a first for everything, right?
I found this FREE pattern on Pinterest (from "It's Always Autumn" Blog) and decided to use it for this beautiful fabric :)
I hate patterns! They never work right for me... but I'm a glutton for punishment and tried it out anyway. Miracle of miracles, it was super easy. I highly recommend it.
I finished the arm hems and added a binding around the neck with leftover scraps.
Be sure to check out Autumn's blog for this pattern. If you want to see my original blog post of this refashion feel free to do so here. :)

That is super cute! I love it!
ReplyDeleteReally cute, and if it's easy like you said I'm definitely going to try it! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThe new shirt looks great. I am going to check out the blog and pattern. I think menswear can be useful as a fabric source, especially if it is an extra extra large size!
