This is #24 for my “Back to School Wardrobe”.
My goal is 10 Re-fashions each month for 12 months. Shopping from the closet only!!!
BEFORE:
·
From the closet: Already Re-fashioned Black over-shirt.
Collar had been removed and hem cut straight. Sleeves were still too long.
·
From the closet: Light weight check pants needed
a hem.
·
From the Re-fashion stash, white t needed
length.
STEPS:
·
SHIRT: Remove black sleeves from the shirt. Trim
1 ½ inches to shorten. Re-insert.
·
PANTS: Simple machine stitched hem.
·
WHITE T: Add 2 rows of already gathered 3-row lace.
This added length and kept the thin t from rolling up.
AFTER:
• Shirt jacket covers a snug
t-shirt, Lace lengthens and controls roll up.
WHAT I LEARNED:
It would be labor intensive to remove the cuffs to shorten the shirt
sleeves. I left the shoulders wide to wear shirt jacket style.
This t was a snug fit. Stretch the t when applying the lace to gain
size.
AFTER: Ready for school |
AFTER: Lace adds length Keeps hem from rolling |
AFTER: Lace was pre-gathered into 3 rows. 2 rows added to t-shirt |

Nice updates especially to the shirt. Cute shirt!
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of adding lace to a tee! Makes it unique.
