Hello Refashion Co-op. I had these two shirts with the same color schemes. The purple and coral colors matched very well. The purple shirt was a little too snug, but together maybe they would work out.
I cut an opening up the back of the purple shirt.
I cut a thin triangle from the back of the plaid shirt. I used the yard stick to make a straight cut. It was about 1 1/2 inches wide at the top and 5 1/2 wide at the bottom.
It was quick work to attach the plaid piece and then cut off the excess length and hemmed the bottom so the shirt was the same length all the way around.
Here is the finished shirt from the back. It is more roomy now and more comfortable to wear. I shortened the arms a little too. The sleeves were really long, or my arms are really short.....
Thanks for reading, for more details and pictures go to I Can Work With That.
Cute!
ReplyDeleteThe stripes on the purple shirt were so light I barely saw it. Those patters work well since it is so subtle. Looks GREAT. So cute!
ReplyDeleteLovely refashion.

Thanks for the comments. Your right Heidi, it is hard to see the stripes in the pictures. My camera had trouble focusing on the stripes.
