Hello Refashion Co-op. I hope you are doing well. I was given this soft, cozy pashmina. I have a lot of scarves so I decided to make this one a top.
There is a pretty floral design embroidered on the ends of the scarf. I wanted to keep as much of it as I could.
I used a T-shirt with a loose fit as a guide for cutting. I stitched the sides together and the finished edges of the scarf made nice, neat seams inside.
I connected the two pieces of the scarf to make the shoulders. The scarf folds in on itself in the front and back to make a lining of sorts. I stitched the edge to hold it in place and cut of the excess because there was a lot of excess.
Here is my finished top. It is soft and cozy but it doesn't have any stretch to it. I left it loose and it will be perfect for Thanksgiving dinner.
Thanks for reading, for more pictures and details go to I Can Work With That.
Fun new use for a scarf.
