Introducing the "Tweed Suit"

Hello! I thrifted this tweed suit.. along with a few other items in a $1 bag sale last year...now that the temp. has started to drop I figure it's time to get unpicking & refashion this gem. It is 100% wool, Made in NZ, a sz 12 and is the most gorgeous coloured tweed.

My 1st thought was to refashion it into a more modern fitted jacket & skirt...now I've been thinking maybe a dress... but I'm sure I will have have plenty of time to decide it's future while I'm unpicking and I'll be sure to share my progress as I go along...

Stunning colour. My first thought was pencil slirt and short jacket, maybe with a peplum...
As Erica says, whatever it is, it will be gorgeous!

What a great find, so much fabric there to play wit and it looks like it is a good quality fabric too. I agree with Miss P's suggestion. Maybe enough fabric to make a tiny bag too?

That's a really great color. I'd go for separates over the dress, personally, but I'm sure whatever you do will be great.
