For International Women's Day, I made myself this this pin from a scrap of fabric given to me by my mother-in-law and a button from my grandmother. I've written more about this and a little rant on sewing and feminism in this post. (And check out this amazing project I found the Burda site.)
In France, Mardi Gras is Carnaval and my daughter wore this costume to school today, refashioned by yours truly (see this post).
Hope you are all having happy days, whatever you're celebrating (or not).

That's the first time I have come across actual advertising comments on this blog - so as a vigilant editor of the day I deleted it.
Now I don't want anyone to think we will be going around deleting comments just because we don't like them. We won't! You are allowed to say things just as you like (as long as you play nice) and you can link to and talk about your own blog and other things you think people are interested in as long as it is not with the aim to sell things directly. I think that's fair enough - don't you?

I love the international woman's day corsage and the carnival costume is just adorable.

Thanks for the moderation! I had seen the "ad" and wasn't sure whether to flag it to you or not. And of course, thanks for the compliments ;-)
