I found these fantastic mens pants that didn't really fit me but I was hypnotised by the amazing pattern and cool little details (like a pocket within a pocket) so I succumbed to yet another ill-fitting purchase. But as I'm teaching myself to sew I decided to put my new found skills into making them fit. I'm really happy with the results!

Ooooh! ROCKIN'! I LOVE this refashion! I mean, I really don't "need" to go looking in the mens section of the thrift shop but I do "need" more pants to wear to work. Wow! Completely inspired, I love it.

Gorgeous fabric! I like your blog too. I too am a new sewist (learned as a kid but haven't sewed in, oh, decades). And I took am using sewing as stress relief and a way to change my thoughts/focus. Bon courage, as they say here in France!
