My first post

I posted this and then decided maybe I should introduce myself first :) I'm Natalli, student at BYU in Utah, teaching myself to sew on the side. I post my random thoughts and personal life on my personal blog and some craft projects, recipes, etc. over on a blog I share with my sisters, Sisterhood of the Crafty Pants.

This is my husband and I on our wedding day 1.56 years ago:
(My mom made my dress. She's THE coolest.)

O.k. enough about me. Now for a refahion:

I found this dress at a local thrift store. I saw past the frumpy, 90s silhouette to the pretty floral fabric and pearl+gold buttons.

So I used a dress pattern to cut a new neckline and took out the sleaves. Then I marked 2inches down both sides of the whole thing to take it in. Shortened the hem and voila!

*Forgive the headless photos, I'll work on my modelling face.
