Here is my 2nd entry into the 80 dresses challenge. My first one got deleted (I will rewrite over again soon!) from when blogger had the nuclear meltdown last week.
I call this dress the green monster dress. Why? Because it is very green and when I first purchased it- it was monstrously hideous. :)
It actually reminded me of a liturgical dress so I decided to pose that way in the before picture here. I did not know if I could turn this dress pretty but I sure wanted to try. Several people had their doubts! first I cut off the sleeves, and it changed the entire look of it... there was hope. Then I took off the bottom and hemmed it with my serger. And took a little in the waist area and made some sort of arm holes. What I would up with was this!
doing the happy dance..
This dress is no longer the green monster! It is just green! :) Kind of has a bit of a retro feel to it and I like it alot. The belt I had and it really finished the dress. :)
I don't have many pictures of the transformation on my blog. For some reason, it just slipped my mind. But it is here on my blog. Feel free to check it out.
Monster slayed and Lauren has a new dress! :) Too bad its not St. Patty's day! I'll still wear it. ;)
XOXOXO,
LaLaLauren
