New Dress from Coverup

I was really thrilled to hear about the 80 Dresses project, and wanted to contribute one of my own! My refashioning project for this week started out as this oversized thrifted coverup-dress-thing:

Yeah...not going to work as is, but I really liked the fabric and thought it was worth doing something fun with. There was actually enough fabric in the dress to make a new dress from a vintage 60's pattern.

More on my blog.

That print is stunning! The pattern you paired it with works PERFECTLY. What a superb ensemble ... and a great contribution towards our challenge! (Also, I have total refashion envy right now. I'm feeling the "need" to pop by the thrift shop!)

A classic up-cycling project - the worst dress known to (wo)man but beautiful fabric. A fab finished product!
