I had a linen skirt that I once loved. Sadly it was a bit faded and very old hat, so I decided to turn it into a blouse. I adapted Vogue 2634 to make it.
There wasn't enough fabric to use the pattern layout so I cut each piece singly and divided the back piece into 5 to use every possible bit of fabric.
The patterned trim was made from left over linen from Liberty - I made a very unsuccessful dress from it maybe 15 years ago. The trim was to cover the skirt's hem so I could get enough length and still use the inside of the skirt for the outside of the blouse. I added the bias strips to collar & armholes to balance the hem trim.
I didn't have to buy anything new for this & I now have a blouse for everyday wear.
