Here is my first submission into the 80 dresses challenge. I posted it last week but when blogger had its meltdown, it got lost in cyber space to never return again. So here it is again! :)
It all began with this 3 XL skirt I got at goodwill for $0.99. I loved the fabric.

I may be able to fit 2 people in this skirt. It is that big. I realized it was too long to turn into a skirt for me by hemming by the way this skirt was made. It has bias trim and was a series of several panels sewn together. Way to much work for me. Then it hit me- turn it into a dress!
I took it in, kept the zipper, and made a stretchy belt with the leftover fabric to turn it into this...
A quick and easy fix! The thing that took the longest was make the casing for the elastic belt. For more information on this project check it out on my blog
Hopefully this post won't get lost again. Happy Monday! :)

I love that fabric! It looks so much cuter as a little dress, well done.

LOVE that fabric!

so much better
Awesome! I'm inspired to use some of my undergrown skirts for something similar. I may not be small enough yet, but my daughter is, so I'll force her to love them! LOL!
